newbie's 5th battery wiring problem

I got the Blue Sea 6 blade block from Amazon dot com.
The Lilypad has now passed inspection and has its license plate.

I'm on to my next fixit. Frogger (my truck) has a little cooling issue.
Since she is a 95 k2500 with 6.5l diesel. I'm lurking on Dieselplace dot com. But thats another Thread.

Normal standard is red for positive and black for negative.
NEC allows the use of white only for neutrals.
I do not know why the RV industry does not follow standards and the NEC.
If it would help maybe, the best thing to do is to write down the color code and mark it adjacent to the fuse block and batteries. Just so no one gets confused and hooks something up wrong.

Black wires are positive and white wires are ground. I ASSUME that since you're using 5 batteries, they must all be 12 volt batteries so you wire them positive to positive and negative to negative all the way through with the two unused poles on two different batteries, going to the trailer. The 5th battery would have to wire exactly as the other four are wired.

Not sure what the inspectors want.

The blacks are pos and the whites are neg to the battery posts. BUT that pair of red and black "from the jacks" is confusing. The red is pos but the black might also be a pos from say the breakaway switch instead of the neg for the jacks (which might be out of sight to the frame) BUT it could be the neg for the jacks. needs a voltmeter ID.

(BTW which is the break-away switch's pos?--one of those blacks? )

With a voltmeter, identify the black or red wires for slide, jacks, to the DC panel and converter, the break-away switch, and any solar controller or solar panel direct, and mark them with white tape tabs and write down what they are on the white tape tabs.

You can buy a standard #4 battery cable with ring terminals. You would terminate on the positive post of the fuse block. Use a red wire for this. Run a black #4 battery cable to the negative tyerminal on the fuse block.
Identify the current siz of fuses in the fuse holders. But that size fises for new fuse block. Cut out old fuse holders and attach each of those to a bracnch fuse location on the fuse block.
Install a main fuse in holder. Somewhere around a forty amp should do. Not sure if all have a main.
Terminate the whites onto the fuse block ground buss.
Identify all circuits which will make it easier to fix problems if, I mean when they pop up.
