Norcold 682 IM Refer fails to light on propane.

Each year I get some rust flakes on the burner tube which causes the propane to not stay lit, each year I clean it and all is well again. After my normal cleaning of burner tube, orifice and flame sensor probe all it does is click and flame comes on for 30 sec then shuts off. Refer is 18 years old and burner tube is rusted out with no slots left and flame sensor is original. So I want to replace both. The flame sensor has a part number of 5778 9525 I can't find this part but found another part on Amazom that looks the same with a part no of 61692222I was able to find on Amazon. Does any one know if this is a suitable replacement? In addition Norcold no longer sells the original tube but found an old post that said a 621957 this is available on Amazon also burner will work but the old tube needs to be flared which . Any help on the flame sensor would be appreciated.

The new burner tube came in today , just ordered yesterday from Amazon decided to try it even though ingnigher is not here yet. I cut of about an 1/1/2 ins of the old supply tube and re flared the end re installed it with a flare nut, turned it on and before I could get outside to watch it was lit and working. The old ignighter is 18 years old also, so I have a spare. The lesson I learned is even thought the flame is blue with no yellow and makes a slight roaring sound it may be not hot enough to send the signal back to the control board saying the flame is there. The new burner tube is actually quieter(less air). So HW and refer both work and I'm ready to go camping again next week.

some of the salvage companies may be able to supply the part. you have to admit, its is quite old. maybe its time for a NEWER refrig. those can be found on the internet or at the salvage companies
colaws in carthage missouri, or arizona rv salvage are good places to start.
making your own parts is a good idea if you are sure to use the original sizes, and lengths. as far as the gas tube, size doesnt matter, as long it can be readapted to fit the original.
the fuel/air adjuster should be as close to original in shape and size
    as possible.
Tried a number of salvage places in Quartsite when I first noticed a problem, stop at a number of rv places like CW thinking they might have some spares that were better than mine to no avail. Hope to get the new parts in a couple of days to modify and install. I'm afraid of putting in a newer Norcold I'm told they don't last as long as the older models.

Wow 45 views and no replies I guess not many have had to replace old Norcold parts. In my investigation with Norcold the burner tube and gas valve are no longer sold. The old flame sensor can be replaced with the 61692222 new one. They wanted me to buy a whole new refer. I can't believe they don't make a direct replacement any more. However I have ordered the new style tube and flame sensor that requires a 1/4 in flare tool and a 1/4 in flare nut to install it. When my original burner tube started rusting out I made a slider for it to adjust the air propane ratio like a HWH about 4 years ago which worked fine until several days ago. However I have no slots left and the flame quality has greatly diminished. So hope it all works.
