Onan Generator rocker switches

I have a 2015 Thor Vegas with an Onan 4000 generator built in the unit. There is a rocker switch at my head when I first walk in the door along with a rocker switch on the dash for the generator. I push down on the rocker switch at the door to prime the generator and then push up to start the generator. This all started three weeks ago. Now when I push down on the switch to prime the light comes on telling me that it is primed and now when I push up to start it nothing happens. I had to go to the dash switch to start it. Now the switch above the door is completely dead. Last week, when I used the rocker switch on the dash everything worked fine. Now that switch is dead also. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
  • Both switches failing suggests the connections at the generator may be the problem. Our generator had butt splices about a foot away from the generator remote plug-in hidden inside the plastic wire loom cover. One of them had corroded and failed, causing similar symptoms. A cut, strip, solder, and shrink wrap of all the wires made for a likely permanent fix.
