Possible purchase...How bad is this delamination? (pic)

Hi folks,

Please look at the attached pics. I know there are a lot of unknowns when all there is, is a picture, but it's all I have right now in considering a long distance purchase.

My concern is how hard is it to repair this...what's the best and worst case scenarios as far as cost goes?

This 20-year-old Class C is in overall pretty good shape, and the asking price is less than $8000...so I know I am not going to get a perfect RV...still, I don't want to buying something that needs a couple thousand repairs in body work.

Thanks for looking...

  • I wouldn't go near that. That water damage is just what's visible from the outside. Rest assured there is more hidden issues inside the full wall.8k is too much money IMO. For a unit like that, I would buy as is, use it until it was no longer useable, than discard it. And the price should reflect a "disposable camper"
  • Im no expert, but from your pictures, that looks pretty bad. What's underneath is what counts, and from the looks of this Id say it could be pretty rotted out. You may want a repair guy to look at it before you sink money into it.
  • You will end up with the whole thing torn apart. If its something that you can buy dirt cheap and use as is, go for it. The damage started at the top so its not just the lower corner. If you could see it locally that would help too. Move on to something else. Buy local.
