Replacement LED Ceiling Lights

Our Forest River LED ceiling lights from 2013 are starting to fail. Has anyone found good replacements that they wish to recommend? My first attempt with an inexpensive light from Amazon resulted in projected yellow spots along with the white light. These are double lights with a switch in the center.
  • Cree has superb 1.2 watt 12 volt chips. If only someone would apapt then to a fixture. They are much more energy efficient and brighter per watt than the ordinary chips.

Thanks for all of the replies. The ceiling light that I'm trying to replace has not been available from Forest River service for a few years now, according our dealer. The ceiling lights that appear in pictures of Puma trailers (what we have) appear completely different. Our LED lights are soldered to wires hard wired to the driver module. Neither are plug in parts. I've googled and searched ebay and can find nothing similar either in the whole fixture or the parts inside. I have ordered a Progressive Dynamics fixture of similar size. Hopefully, I'll be pleased with the results from a reputable manufacturer.

Have you called them? I guess it depends on the division. Our 2017 Rockwood LED lights all started failing soon after the purchase. Some overheated and melted the lens and scorched the cieling panel. Rockwood sent me a case of 24 replacements when I needed 10. On the 3rd season not 1 has failed.

Replacing a pair of LED boards costs $5 and is easier than replacing the fixture. The whole fixture is probably from $10.
I was not disappointed with that Ebay seller, few other users here bought from him too.

I would probably just replace the whole fixture for simplicity. I've seen several different ones in the parts departments at a few dealers, but I'm gun-shy after one disappointment. Hoping for a success story for someone else.
  • My LED lights in my KZ 241 sportsman flicker when the water pump runs at slow speeds. Is this normal? Battery is fully charged and in good shape. When running water pump on full flow it doesn't happen. Not worth the bother of changing lights but still annoys me.

If you are looking to replace actual LEDs, not the whole fixture with lens and all... I used 2011_led on Ebay. Search his site for SMD Led, whatever lumens/brightness you need. Cheaper by packs of 10.

I "think" I bought This one. Warm white 300 lumen closely mimics the color and brightness of my "old" 18W bulbs, though now I'm having seconds thoughts that brighter panels would've been better, they draw so little current...
