You're doing a lot better than many reviews on that inverter. And MW's don't usually run well on MSW.. especially those little cheap ones.

No idea about that, but I have seen where "reviewers" don't have a clue, and must be using undersized gauge wire or whatever.

Camping neighbours at our summer place also use this same 3000 as we do with four 6s, and they have no issues.

Not just this product, but some folks seem to slam things when it looks like they are using it wrong. Have to "read between the lines" with all of these, as with many other things. As you know of course--none of us was born yesterday. :(

Same as last time. Put the transfer switches up on the shelf where the PS is and get a 90 amp IOTA and 2000 watt GoPower inverter to mount in the lower area. Looks like tons of room once the junk on the floor is relocated. Although I might mount the inverter on the side wall.

I prefer separate components to all in one, except for hybrid inverter chargers.

Is it the inverter side that dies, or the charger side?

If the Prosine is internally wired in the same manner as the Magnum, when the inverter is turned off the cooling fan stops. I believe that is a serious design flaw.

Have you thought about sending it to our fellow RV'er in Montana for repairs?

The Prosine is opposite, in that the fan IMO runs too darn much, at least with the charger. When there's zero load on the charger, the fan cycles on and off. The root cause of course is too much heat generated when it's doing nothing. Maybe that's related to the apparent 100% failure rate. I have it mounted inside and have to shut down the charger overnight to get rid of the fan noise.

I meant when the inverter is turned off the fan stops immediately. There is no "cool down" period. Last summer that lead to the inverter catching on fire.

If Magnum had the fans run on 12 volt--then they could continue cooling the inverter.

Haven't looked at the profile but that looks allot like the Journey 32T I helped install a Magnum 2012 into and it runs fine. I'll call and get some pix if interested...

(Later) ah... Horizon 32, close enuf. I do believe that cabinet is open to the sub-basement and vented under the bed, yes? It's bigger than it looks but still needs help when running high charge or inverter loads for extended time

I have the Xantrax 2000w Invertor and it works great. It looks like heat might of killed it. You need to vent that compartment.

I would contact ProSine and see if they have a repair service.

Most failure are not that catastrophic. A handful of transistors. Good time to replace all the caps. Upgrade them to higher voltage and temp rating.

Prosine are famous for being throw-away, and that's the problem. Magnum, unlike Xantrex are built to be serviced and parts are readily available. Guess why I now have a Magnum?
