- hedgeExplorerI was actually looking at the 6V's so I think they can take up to 45A, but thanks for bringing that to my attention.

I have been considering moving to AGM, has anyone heard of Matrix-Infinity batteries? quite a few of the local dealers are selling them and they seem to be a good price.

Note the 20% charging rate (limit?) in spec. A 55amp converter would be "over" on a pair of these but not on four.
Seems similar but not exactly the same as the 100AH ones I got here, except the prices. Wegosolar has an outlet in Edmonton if that helps any. These allow 27% charging so a 55 amper on a pair is ok.

yes it is, I have it installed. I had to add the bluetooth dongle separately though so that was an extra expense. I think it's more useful being able to monitor it from the app. I often check how my panels are putting out from my lawn chair outside, I probably wouldn't look if I had to go inside. It's cool to watch the sun come out from behind the clouds and see the amps jump up... I guess I'm easily entertained. - MEXICOWANDERERExplorerThe formula is simple
Boondocking is not Plug N Play
I would love to be able to play Layback Lenny, and cheat. Who wouldn't?
But, to be blunt about things, gauge monitoring of an AGM battery is easier than cell bubble or hydrometer monitoring of a flooded battery. I know every trick in the book and so now, does my son-in-law. The girls are not allowed in the generator battery structure*. But I wonder if things would be as strict if the batteries were VRB?

The ergonomics of cost and ease of proper battery management is always of interest to me.
But positively (a word I seldom use) the prospect of running a shunt wiring connection between battery bank and monitor is the one and only great obstacle for many RVers. To do it right is no small job. - 2oldmanExplorer II

I tried an eBay one but had trouble with it (might have been my fault), but there are others. If you need a full range of amps 150-0 accurately, some have calibration "issues."
My point remains that an AGM owner needs an ammeter in his set-up and most RVs don't have one. - MEXICOWANDERERExplorerBuy

I listed a WIRELESS $24.95 energy monitor.
I listed a REMOTE ON / OFF AC outlet power switch

I would have hoped this was time well spent on this forum. - 2oldmanExplorer IIMy 4yo Lifelines (8) are doing just fine.
