It is what the factory uses to seal joints on the roof so it is compatible with the original sealant
It provides a nice wide bead of the right thickness so you don't have to be too accurate putting the material down
It does not take long to apply
    It is flexible
Easy to apply on top of the original as long as you clean the old sealant and roof properly

I'll also add that it is easily found when on the road
When plastic parts fail on the roof they're easier to replace then when tape was used
    Price
From what I can tell it's what 100% of RV shop will use unless there is a major leak. Reason why my first instinct is that there was a roof problem when I see the other stuff on a used RV that's for sale.

  • I'd suggest to hire someone to do it. You've already expressed a reticence to working at height or on a ladder and IMO, that is a disqualifier. I operate a small construction company and if a new guy complains about ladders or heights, he's pulled off that duty permanently. Resealing a 5th wheel roof is easy, you could direct someone on how to do it from the ground.
    Good luck with your roof.
  • Just got off the roof from inspecting. Saw some small hair line cracks on caulking around the Refrige roof vent. Tall 5th wheel, narrow stairs, heavy ole guy, Not fun!!
  • Dicor Self Leveling is what you want. Scrub the roof with an aproved cleaner, paying special attention to joints and seams. Let it dry throroughly and apply the Dicor
