More than likely those are group 24 batteries and I wouldn't do it with those. They could be a larger size but that's most common I see. I'd do three group 27's or four 6V's minimum. The next step would be two 200+ watt solar panels. I know you don't boondock but I've seen people that don't boondock with residential fridges come back here wanting a battery/solar upgrade because of some unforeseen situation they got in. The Go Power 1kW inverter is a good choice and at $400, doesn't break the bank.
Thanks. Great info. I have the standard 2 12V deep cycle batteries. I don't dry camp, so would that be enough? Just looked up a Magnum 1K psw inverter. $900 bucks!!!! Ouch. That's expensive to power a $400 fridge. - pianotunaNomad III
- Unless you also want to run the microwave while in transit I would stick with smaller 1000w to keep the 12v connection easier. 2 batteries is a bit light for 2000w.

Xantrex Prowatt SW2000
If the OP beefs up the charging path to the "house" batteries 2 12 volt should be fine for traveling.HiTech wrote:
Didn't someone post a 2000 watt PSW for $350 recently? - Pirate1Explorer

- You really should have a transfer switch.

Prowatt 1000 for $300 should work fine. - I think that Magnum is an inverter/charger.
I recommend GoPower 1000w for $400.
Since it is a MH with a decent house charging circuit(compared to a TT) the two house batteries will be fine. They just need to cover the start surge or a few hours while you are stopped on the road. - Pirate1ExplorerThanks. Great info. I have the standard 2 12V deep cycle batteries.
