Tapping Into 120v Question
I should know this, but don't so here goes-- Can I cut the three 120v wires to a receptacle and insert a set of wires to another receptacle so that there are three wire nuts each with three wires? ...

this 120v A.C nothing is series
all connections are parallel
you ran a 'branch' from that outlet. same connections as a junction box
hot to hot, neutral to neutral, thats parallel
a series of outlets on circuit, can be referred too as 'daisy chain'
but the wiring is NOT in series
this is NO different than the 12v ceiling lights in your RV, pos to pos, neg to neg...parallel feed to all lights on the chain
