@Everyone: I do not have any type of jack installed right now. I'm just using a portable jack and jack stands, in places where blocks are not tall enough. It's the portable jack that is hurting me.
I used those jackstands just once and said to myself, there must be a better way..
I have thought about getting those motorized scissor jacks, but I had bought 4 scissor jacks with a gear reduction built on at Walmart 15 yrs ago for $20 each.. I use a 9.6V Makita drill to run them up and down for my TT..
In your case, since you are using jackstands you could use one motorized scissor jack to lift then place jack stand and remove the scissor jack..
That would surely help your cause :B
