voltage meter or how to ck 50 amp at rv site
I was told I need to check my elect connection before I plug into the
RV campsite electricity. I have 50 amp and sometimes use a 50/30 2 foot converter (50 amp one end 30 amp other end) from Camping World. and I have a 30 amp big 25' cord also from Camping World.
I have a TRC 34560 Surge Guard 50 amp Hardwired installed.
So, I will be traveling to Mexico. So many people say it doesn't
matter where you go you should check you plug in before you plug in.
They say get a volt(age) meter and check the hook-up.
OK so what do I buy, how do I check it. Don't know anything about this.
I am now a single senior female. I didn't do the hook-ups before three years ago, now that I am alone.. I don't know if I need to do this or
how to do this or what equipment I should buy. I haven't done it before. I did have my elect shut off and then it reset later, but that must have be a surge or low elect as I had been plugged in for 3 days and everything was OK. So I
guess the surge thing worked. But if it's bad at the site maybe when I plug in, it could fry the surge thing. I don't know what to do.
I checked Amazon but there are all kinds of meters costing from $5 to
$200 ...
Help... you are my go to resource... Thanks for the help.
