Bingo! This works well, but, IMO the ball valve at the nozzle is junk. (it leaks) It helps to be able to shut off the water flow (mostly) at the nozzle instead of the spigot if you don't want to make unnecessary trips and/or get water all over the place when you fill the fresh water tank.

Yep. Amazing how simple to resolve the backflow. :)
I find the ball valve works well enough to stop the flow at the nozzle so I can casually turn off the main valve at the faucet after filling. Then I open the ball valve and let the hose drain. - Chum_leeExplorer

Chum lee - wnjjExplorer III built my own fill adapter out of 1/2" PVC with an elbow and a ball valve. Being rigid I can stick it in the filler, turn the hose on slow and do other things while it fills. Won't those soft hose ends kink if you don't hold them the whole time?
- mapguyExplorerSlow flow and a Camco filling device solved my problems. Vent just doesn't allow enough air flow out of tank at fast fill rates

Absolutely! OP, do you rinse the hose end and then spray with bleach? - maillemakerExplorerI'll try the cut-off piece of hose.

Turn the supply tap down to reduce the rate of flow.

That will solve the problem. - OasisbobExplorerDue to poor design I have to feed my fresh water tank slowly or, like yours, fresh water is forced out around the hose. To add to this bad design my tank feeds from the side so you can never reach intended tank capacity. Soon as a left hand turn is made water comes out the fill inlet. I put a short piece of hose with no male end on my fill hose. This takes the water outlet into the tank so air can more easily escape. Helps but does not cure
- IvylogExplorer IIITake a stiff wire with a rounded end and push it down your vent, turning if necessary to get it to go to the tank. Next put that dirty hose into the fill (Helps to build up your amunities :w) and try and seal it so you can build pressure and hopefully blow your vent clean.
