Winnebago Fifth Wheel

We purchased a new Winnebago Voyage fifth wheel in 2015. We had a problem with the refrigerator and converter while taking are second trip with it. I repeatedly called the towable service number for help and was just told to leave a phone number or email address and they would get back to me. After 4 messages without a reponse in over a week I gave up. I also sent them an email without a response. I called the motorized Winnebago number and spoke to a person, but he couldn't help. He tried to contact them for me and just got the leave a message response. Has any one else had a problem with a towable Winnebago? I would not recommend them to anyone on this website or any anyone we meet. The website and information we received does not give us information on contacting them except by the one phone number or email.

  • Doug,
I left the vin number every time I called. Winnebago never called back. Since I got home I wrote a snail mail letter to the company and didn't receive a reply. Since the problem was a mislabeled breaker box we do not know which breaker labels are also incorrect. I even emailed them a picture showing that the converter label was not included. I would not recommend a Winnebago towable to anyone!
I had hoped for help and support from the forum not a demeaning comment about my efforts. Do you work for Winnebago? You seem to be defensive.
  • Doug plenty of people call the factory to schedule an oil change on their Chevrolet. I lived it for 44 years. Then you get a customer service rep on the phone that doesn't know what an oil change is wanting to know why you didn't help them when they never called the dealer in the first place.
You are living that dream now, but we all want you to know we appreciate your input on the forum.

La Mesa RV (our dealer) told us to contact Winnebago. They never called us back after 4 messages, nor responded to both emails I sent. We saw a mobile RV repairman in the park. He corrected our problem in half an hour. The fuse box had the labels for the fuses mixed up. If you ever need help in Island Park, ID, call Randy at Mobile RV Repair, 480-495-9579. He was knowledgeable and had the equipment to trace down the problem.

When you called and sent emails, did you include the pertinent info Winne needed for getting you the needed info. Did you give them your VIN number? THAT is required for help from the factory. I asked several questions for you to answer. NONE were addressed or answered. THAT tells me, YOU have not given the adequate info for Winne to help you. In other words, YOU did not respond to a "email" type request either. Doug

They(Winnebago) probably have a service like CoachNet for these type problems. That is the number they are supposed to call and the Winne people get in touch with the service company. Doug

  • What are you wanting? Are you wanting service at Your site? Are you wanting the number of a Winnebago Dealer for service? How old is the RV? More than 1 year? Is it out of the original warranty? Have you tried to get your local Winnebago Dealer to look at the RV? If you have a problem with your Chevy, you do NOT call the Detroit factory, you call your local Chevy dealer. Doug
  • Hi Lucy. I don't have a Winnebago, but since you just purchased it, call your dealer. Years ago when we had first purchased one of our trailers, we had a problem while taking a trip. Not knowing what to do, we called our dealer and he helped us out. It wasn't anything as serious as yours, but they told us what to do in the meantime. When we got back from our trip, we took our trailer to the dealership and they fixed the issue right away.
