Well it's been 1 year and 24,240 miles now with my '12 Super Duty 6.7 Power Stroke, FX4, 3.55 EL, Auto, CC, Lariet truck and thought I would give a short report.Interior: Leather seats show very if any wear. Dash and overall interior is rattle free and very quiet and still looks new.Exterior: Paint finish looks like it rolled off the lot. Chrome bumpers resist rock chips and look great.Drive train: No glitches, No CEL's. Engine/tranny has performed flawless. Power is downright scary!Summary: This truck continues to impress me to this very day. Four oil changes/DEF refills and 1 fuel filter change to date. This truck doesn't go 1 day that it doesn't get used. It's used as a daily driver to work and back, tows the camper and boat with ease.Fuel economy mixed driving is 16.5 - 17 mpg (mixed city)/ 19 - 21 mpg hwy.Overall impression compared to my previous 05 Super Duty 6.0 psd is the power and fuel economy is clearly superior. On a recent trip my Dad drove this truck while pulling the camper for a quick test drive he was really impressed with the power and stability with this truck while pulling the exact camper he pulls with his 05 Chevy Duramax.

I had my 2011 CC, long box, lariat, fx4, 3.55 for two years and had almost the exact same mileage as yours when I traded it off a couple weeks ago. I would agree with your summary in most ways. My truck seen a lot of nasty oilfield roads and it was still tight and rattle free as well. My highway mileage was lower at 18-19.2. They are pulling monsters to say the least. The power is crazy, but very well refined and mild mannered when not working the truck hard. My new truck doesn't pull near as hard as my Ford did.My only gripes, the******Michelin tires, the junk Rancho badged non Rancho shocks, and the not so premium stereo at a very premium price tag. Small gripes.Great write up, and much on par with my thoughts.

Great report. There are a few folks on this forum who swear it is a ticking time bomb and a couple who actually had a problem, but there are so many happy owners that I think Ford is a serious player in the diesel engine market again as well as being the sales leader for trucks.

I'm on the fence about the Michelin tires... I think part of the problem they don't last is because the power these trucks make. These tires don't have a chance.My previous truck was an XLT and the stereo (if you want to call it that) sucked.And finally... Yes I have to drive to work daily. Will be on vacation next week though! :B

After all the camp fire prodding over 30+ years about how bad Fords are and how great GM trucks are to all their camping friends.

My brother drives a 6.7 for a company that hauls gas/oil field equipment and says it is a HOSS !! I'm seeing a lot of them on the road, probably more than any new truck. I think I might have found a truck to finally replace my 7.3 F350

It happens. A close friend is a HUGE GM guy, though not his daily drivers, he has a 70's Nova and a GMC Jimmy. When his wife recently gave birth to their first born, they went car shopping because her Volvo wouldn't fit a car seat easily. They wanted a full frame V8 SUV. They were set on a Tahoe, and I talked them into at least looking at the Expedition. Last week they pulled up in a brand new 2013 Expedition Limited and they love it. They said it had better features, more room, and the interior is in a completely different league. I was shocked to hear him say that.

The current crop of diesels, there isnt a bad truck in the bunch.
It's more a matter of what flag you want to fly and who has your favorite color on sale.

Look at 275/70/18s. Thats what I replaced my 265/70/18 SR-As with. Two tire choices is really lame.

The 275s are 1/2" wider and 1/2" taller. They fit perfectly and are a much more common size.

It's good to hear some nice things.

We just got our 13 350 SC DRW last Thursday and have a whole 238 miles on it. Normally I would be riding but we need to get miles on it before we hook up for a trip out west.

I really like it. And the stereo in the 13 is great with the subwoofer and like 9 speakers.

The only thing I am not thrilled with is with the climate control. Switching from Auto to Max Air, drops the temp to "Lo". But when you switch back to Auto, it stays at "Lo" instead of going back to the set temp (of say, 70). Works that way in my 13 Focus and thought it should in the truck too. Disappointing.

Other minor thing is the mirror extenders (not folders) only operate when the truck is on. The extenders worked any time on our 08 and I liked that.

I have a similar truck. The only problem was a sticking rear brake caliper.
Now the Michelin tires are another thing. The LTX A/T2 tires have a balance problem that cannot be corrected. This problem comes and goes at random. I probably should replace them way before they are worn out because they might fail.

Ok my turn, F350 SBCC Lariat loaded which I bought after reading Ricatic's and others raving about their 6.7s for about 6 mos. Just turned 37000 only issue was a seat a/c module. My daily driver some times just 10 miles a day for weeks, like my 01 7.3 before it it could care less. I do change the oil at 6mos. if it it's been lt. duty.
