19.5 Vision wheels on Ford Super Duty's

I just got a set of 19.5 Vision wheels and have a question for the people with Ford Super Duty trucks 2000-2007. Did they need to use hub centric rings or did they say that lug centric is what they are. I am having a hard time finding out from both the tire dealer and Vision. As the Fords are hub centric I need to find out if I have to get the hub centric rings for these wheels.
I thought I would ask first before pulling a wheel off to see if it fits on the hub properly. Thanks
  • I got the right lugs with the deal and new what I was getting. I was just trying to find out if anyone else used the centric rings to make them hub centric. And yes I got a very good deal.

The vision rims are lug centric, the factory rims are hub centric. You cannot use the factory lug nuts with the vision rims.

What he said. Bought mine a LSchwabie and they knew what to get for lugs... Vision will tell you what you need if you feel insecure.

<>50K on mine now... Love them.

  • There are lots of people here who use Visions on their Fords. I did on my srw as well. No extra inserts are required if they are the right model.

If the are lug centric wheels then they should have self-centering lug nuts that fit into matching recesses in the wheel. Hub centric should have a flat surface on the wheel that mates to flush mounting lug nuts.

I know what the difference is between the two, The Fords are hub centric and need to be kept that way to work as it was designed.
You need the weight on the hub and the lugs hold the wheel in place.
They make rings to make up the difference for aftermarket wheels for this purpose.

So, why did you buy the wheels before you did the research? :h

Must have been too good of a deal to pass up hoping it would work. Hope it does work out for you.

  • I would call a relevant mechanic and ask. They could probably tell you over the phone.
