1st quarter pickup sales

It look like pickuptrucks.com isn't doing sales numbers anymore so here is what I have found for the American brands:

2019 2018 %Change
#1 F-series 214,611 214,191 0.2
#2 Ram 120,026
#3 Silverado 114,313 135,545 -15.66
#4 SIERRA 40,546 41,468 -2.22%
#5 COLORADO 33,494 28,859 16.06
#6 Ranger 9,421 0 NA
#7 CANYON 6,954 7,213 -3.59%

The big surprise for me was that instead of battling Ford for #1 with their new truck Chevy slid to #3. Chevy expects to have a lot of new product coming out later this year but Ford isn't far behind with new products of their own.

Some comments about GM's slide

Here was one telling comment:
"A Chevy dealership in Dearborn, Michigan said the new Silverado has done good things for showroom traffic, but when they see the final price, they more often than not leave for a Ram dealer."

However, this doesn't acknowledge that virtually every comparison that I have seen for the 2019's ranks Ram ahead of the GM products. GM may have more challenges than just price.

If anyone has any numbers for the Japanese brands feel free to add them.
