I have the 08 F350 dually Lariat 6.4. I don't find the diesel over thirsty. I haven't been out west but I have been from Maine to Florida. I get 10 MPG towing the rig in my sig. and 19 mpg without the trailer on the hiway. I had the coolant flush at 30000 and I change the oil every 6000 and the fuel filters every other oil change. I get compliments everywhere I go. Runs nice and quiet for a diesel, if the price is right go for it.
