- 45RicochetExplorerI was talking about "unladen weight" Rich, which would not include passengers and stuff you load into it. I bet Jim's truck is 700ish lbs more than yours. Mine was 7620 IIRC week one of ownership. It's now ~8k sitting in the garage, add the two of us and the dog (80 lb ) and stuff it's right at 8500 lbs unhitched of course.
- The_Mad_NorskyExplorerThanks for the link 45Ricochet.
Always nice to have good info.
Looking forward to Jim's report. - Cummins12V98Explorer IIIMy 2011 weighs 9,080# with B&W hitch, 5/8 tank fuel, two adults and tools toolbox Honda 2000.
So his truck will easily have 5K capacity. My factory weight was 8,020#
My truck sits with RV attached with 13,940# on the 6 tires. - NC_HaulerExplorer

Say, another question for NC Hauler:
perhaps unrelated to the conversation at hand here, but I'll ask anyway.
Jim, have you weighed your new truck yet????
Reason I ask is to see what payload capacity you have, given that the GVWR for yours is (I believe) 14,000 pounds.
A really nice number to know, especially considering those (like me) who are planning on going the truck camper route.
Thank you!
I bet he'll be pushing 9k, without a hitch I might add :W Just funnin you Jim. Until next week here is a camper guide for you Norsky. Looks like the payload left to GVWR is 4700 lbs or so with Jim's truck.

Thanks Rick...does look like 4700#, Makes me want to weigh it now.. - 45RicochetExplorer

No, haven't weighed it yet, I have a weigh station down from where I work on I26 that I usually go to....I work 12's Wed and Thurs, then am planning on going up to our camp this weekend...I get a chance next week, I'll weigh it....I'd like to have a full tank of fuel when I do it, but I'll let you know the specifics when I weigh it...I figure it's going to weigh more than my 2010 due to the fact that the Aisin weighs over 230# more than the 68RFE tranny and I believe the frame, as well as the heavier front and rear suspension will cause it to come in heavier than the 10' (didn't get a chance to weigh the 12' either, didn't have it long enough:)).....
I will weigh first chance I get and post the weight on here, unless someone with my configuration truck post before I do......

Thank you! - Perrysburg_DodgExplorerYep if you want a paper version you have to call for it within six months, otherwise all you have is a DVD. But you can play it with the radio (at lest the wife's 200 we can), as long as you have power.

Don, not COMPLETELY true...Last 3 trucks I've owned, I didn't just want the DVD, I wanted all the books, so my salesman called up Chrysler I guess? and told them the owner wanted all the Owners manuals for his truck and they were Fed EX'ed to me...I had them in just a couple of day's....
Get this, the main Owners Manual has 727 pages:E..then you have the Users Manual for Uconnect Access ( 294 pages), the Diesel Supplement booklet, (163 pages) AND the Warranty Information booklet for Diesel, 36 pages....oh, that doesn't include the 2013 Ram Truck Special Service Supplement booklet, it has 32 pages, the 2013 Quick Tips booklet, and the 2013 Users Guide, 193 pages....(last two "quick look up" booklets)....SOOOOO, there is plenty of reading material and to get what doesn't come with the truck, ask your dealer to request them and it's paid for and you get them in just a couple of day's..
........course I do have the DVD on this 'puter too which covers all the above, AND you have the usual tire information, lemon law information, and a few other things.
SON....glad I got the dually , with all this reading material, it's a wonder when I put it in my truck that I'm not over my GVWR.....not to worry, I KNOW I'm not over my RAWR:B - Perrysburg_DodgExplorerI'm still stuck on the owners manual comment, you don't get an owners manual anymore, you get an owners CD now :R
