- All I can say is yes!!! for competition! Without it we'd only have 250 horse/350 pounds of torque trucks still.
Todays diesel trucks are amazing! - The kind of power the truck makers are putting in 3/4 ton trucks is a total waste. It is simply not needed in a truck that size but all the school boys keep throwing their money down for them so they keep selling them.

Sorry you misunderstood. I guess I'll spell it out better. I want a diesel and the towing capacity of an F-250 at that price. It is doable. There are many buyers like me that would snap up such a truck. I say to hell with this power, breast thumping, race every new truck year.- Are we going to now count the new 2015 Powerstroke as a new engine? If so maybe we can include the first gen with the 6.0 and 6.4.
It would read "Last good Powerstroke was the 7.3, and then came the 6.0, 6.4 and 6.7 gen 1's.
So now we convene a new jury to watch the 6.7 gen 2's? Maybe they should have called it the 409 Powerstroke or 6700 Powerstroke!

It would be interesting to see some dyno graphs of where they turn this kind of power loose.

Even my 2011 POS 6.7 Ford was severely torque limited at its ratings...It will be interesting to see what GM and Ram does now...
I never cared about who was fastest before and certainly do not care now...but I would like to have a warranty on a new truck...that takes Blue KoolAid out if the picture...

It would be interesting to see some dyno graphs of where they turn this kind of power loose.
