- Perrysburg_DodgExplorerGot my old truck stuck on wet grass and hard packed wet mud. The last time a buddy had to hook his brand new F-350 4X4 to me to get me and the trailer up the incline.
Last weekend I got to pull a F-150 FX4 out of the snow. In all fairness to the Ford had the guy knew how to drive a 4X4 he could have backed it out himself. I asked him if he had tried 4 low and he looks at me had said "I don't think my truck has a four low". I looked at him and said OK I'll just pull you out then LOL.

Fish, I do, with 4.10 rear axle. Buried that sucker on St. Augustine Beach last May, was 'extricated' by a guy with 4 wheel drive Tundra. :o Even with 'bagging' the tires at the suggestion of a sheriff's deputy that happened by, it was a 'no go' until the guy with the Tundra saved my bacon.
Lessons learned: An all season highway tread tire don't belong in sand, and St. Augustine Beach (where driving/parking is allowed) is nowhere near as packed as the sands of Daytona.......:S
Kind of what I thought. I'll never forget having to always pull my uncles '80's Ford diesel 2 wheel drive from getting stuck. He even tried mud tires, but the weight bias on the front end just overwhelmed the rear tires traction.- LessmoreExplorer IISaw the link. I would say the Dodge 2500 Power Wagon is one fine vehicle. I was impressed to hear that it has 14 inches of ground clearance.

Sometimes it's just the stuff you expect out of a 70's adult video. Still, cool that they take the rigs out and show them off even if it is at a manufacturer's setup (Landrover in this case per an earlier vid of the Renegade).

Not for nothin', but I drove my '05 3500 2WD in Michigan 3 years ago covered in more snow than was in that video with no problem. : However, my truck doesn't do well on wet grass or sugar sand on the beach.......:o
