Good read but you are reading someone's facet and it is obvious he is a gas man. The article was also written back when diesel was a $1 or more over gas per gallon. Let's talking about stopping the truck/trailer, oops, he doesn't.
Regardless, OP, the gasser will pull but you are close to the maximum and if your stated trailer weight is the dry weight you would be best off to poney up the coin for the Cummins. Price out a SRW 3500 Cummins, use the dually upcharge and the 6.4L Hemi up charge to help pay down the cost of the Cummins. This is just my opinion, there are additional choices.
