A jeep Rubicon was on my short list anyway, this is just another plus. CR should stick to household appliances, it seems to be their expertise.
I LOVE IT!!!
Jeep is at #1 (two models) AND #2 (one model).
TAKE THAT, CR! - wilber1ExplorerBMW is the largest exporter of US built cars. 70% of its US production is exported and it exports 50,000 more than it sells in the US. Honda also builds more cars in the US than it imports from the rest of the world. Should Germans and Japanese be upset?

TAKE THAT, CR! - 1jeepExplorer III believe in buying some items one time, yes no doubt most homes don't have $6000 fridges in them.
An example, my bbq grill is wolf, paid $5500 for it 15 years ago, I sue it all the time and it still looks and performs like new. My brother is on his 3rd XXXX grill from homedepot at $900 each. add in his time spent to move and buy new ones I bet it comes out close to being the same money spent. - colliehaulerExplorer III

Some premium products are still made in US such as Viking. McIntosh audio equipment is another. Trouble is most people can't afford them.
Not all appliances are made off shore, our kitchen is all Viking and they are still made in the USA. They are on their 12th year, fridge had a recall for door hinge, other than that everything still works like day one. - 1jeepExplorer IINot all appliances are made off shore, our kitchen is all Viking and they are still made in the USA. - thomasmnileExplorer'American Made' an empty moniker these days, for everything. Vehicles, appliances, you name it. Exhibit A: our recently purchased Made in Mexico of Chinese parts, GE Appliances dryer owned since 2016 by Haier, China's largest appliance manufacturer.
I'm just grateful if any big ticket stuff I buy works for longer than the warranty period...... - spoon059Explorer II

FWIW; Someone posted on here once that the Tundra was the most American truck with the most American parts.
Yup, from 2007 ish-2015 the Tundra was either #1 or tied with the F150 for #1 with the most American parts. By definition, that makes them the most "American" truck, doesn't it?

In 2010, the year that my Tundra was, it was 80% Gross Domestic parts. It was the winner by over 5% if I remember correctly.
For what its worth... - 1jeepExplorer III gave up on trying to buy American products years ago after my last Harley purchase in 2009...that bike has more Chinese parts than an order of general sao chicken!

That's because for several years it was.
