You are correct, the auto Rubicon has 3.73's. I keep forgetting about the auto in the Rubicon since most serious off road Rubicon owners I know only have the manual.

Long, long, long time Jeep owner. Starting with the CJ family. Currently have a heavily modified Wrangler.

FCA already has the right engine in their inventory right now, and it fits perfectly. I am talking, or course, about the 5.7 Hemi.

This is a hugely popular conversion among the JK crowd right now, and people are paying big bucks for it. Can't believe they wouldn't offer it stock. Would pay $6K additional easily to be able to check that box.

I was really hoping it would be an option, but now it looks like I will be keeping my current Wrangler and giving it full 6.2 Chevy power...

So far as I know the 2.0L I4 Turbo and the 3.6L V6 both have Engine Stop/Start Systems as standard equipment. This feature can be turned off, but you have to do it every ignition cycle.

Fiat? Fiat is a car brand of FCA just like GMC is a truck brand of GM. How would they have anything to do with designing the Jeep Wrangler?

Honestly I think most of it is gearing. Most of my experience is in the 6 speeds and I am not sure if they change ratios between the engines. To me the 6 speed is geared way too tall. Sixth is almost unusable unless you are at expressway speeds 70+. The turbo makes very good power. But think it could be a little better down low for rock type stuff.

Good to see fiat didn't screw up the looks. Having said that hopefully they beefed up the body panels and improved the driving dynamics.

I wouldn't consider a diesel in this vehicle unless it was a highway cruiser

I like it! I think the upcoming pickup version would work great for this old timer pulling a smaller travel trailer.

That is odd, I would have thought a turbocharged 2.0L would have more low end torque than a N/A 3.6L.
