How does cylinder deactivation behave at high elevations?
I know a turbo engine compensates for the thin air keeping your HP almost the same. But dunno about this other technology ...
In terms of improved mileage, I understand the new Chevys are upto 450# lighter than earlier models. So that should help, like Ford's Al bodies.
But have heard some people complain that their new Al Fords are now too light for heavier towing. Will the new lighter Chevys have the same issue?
Certainly seems like the gap in weight and mileage between half-tons and HD trucks is increasing.
