2019 Ram 1500 info

Nice looking truck....
Not sure if I like the, "knob shift wheel," on a truck. Have to think about that some. Shouldn't trucks have a ' real' shifter?

I can not imagine shifting in the middle of a bog with a shifter like the one posted above

When my 2012 was in the shop being repaired (hit by some woman who even said "I saw you" as she proceeded to drive into my front fender), they gave me a 2017 rental that had the knob shifter. I could not get used to it in the week I had the truck. Took too long shifting into and out of gears. Put it in Park and had to wait 3-4 seconds for it lock. Also did not like the tow mirrors, could not adjust the mirrors the way I like to see traffic beside and behind me.

There may have been something wrong with it. I have never experienced any delays like that with the Ram electronic shift. But I agree it does take some getting used to.

Sorry folks, I still chuckle every time here the words, "eco boost" and now laughing even more with "stored boost." In my mind, I see a mouse on a wheel and all of a sudden a cat walks in the room. Same mouse running in the same wheel, but now all of a sudden gets a rush of adrenaline. No matter what you call it, it's still a mouse. (stake me out naked covered with honey over an ant hill now if you want... but I'm still a GM guy) :)

Seems like stupid marketing for the gullible. Wonder when Ford or Chrysler will add a turbo to their transmissions to get the extra boost GM has. :B

Only extra boost GM has is to get out and push.

You must be talking about the 10 speed transmission GM and Ford co-developed and Ford is now using in some of the F150's, and GM will soon be using in the Silverado's.

New technology and Chrysler - what could possibly go wrong?

I'm not a fan of the knob, either. I like column shifters in trucks.
