3M Caulk Remover

Question

I highly recommend the 3M Indoor/Outdoor caulk remover if you are going to re-caulk your TC. I bought a 1998 Lance 945 that was kept in a garage and hardly used but it has the original caulking and Lance used some clear silicone stuff that is nearly impossible to get off. The 3M comes out like a paste, so it doesn't run down the side, and you can let it sit up to 7 hours. That tough old silicone comes right off. Ace Hardware had to special order it, but it is worth it.

Thanks for the recommendation on the 3M caulk remover.

My camper is 20 years old. It looks like 3 or 4 different caulks were used over the years. Many spots need to be redone. It will be interesting to see how the 3m product works on the different caulks.

(Ron --- Dicor comes off easily with a heat gun and a scraper. What doesn't come off easily, just leave it and caulk over it. It sticks to itself unlike silicone caulk which doesn't).
