Tesla is not a bit worried. The worry should be GM, Ford, RAM.
They better hurry, analysts are saying Tesla's technology is 5 to 10 years ahead of the closest competition.
But not in production floor, however, found out that Tesla had to manually assemble Model 3's to catch up with delivery commitments and production goal.
My son works there so I can't give anymore details, lol. - timmacExplorer

Pretty funny where it says "It's payload may surprise you..." and then they put two small dufflebags in the bed. LOL And the in depth discussion of it's range was pretty revealing too I thought. And "starting price" of $69,000, woof.
Once they start mass producing them the price will drop and as battery technology improves that has been showing to happen in a few years from battery makers than these EV trucks will look far more attractive to many buyers vs ICE trucks..
2025 will be that year.. ;) - fj12ryderExplorer IIIPretty funny where it says "It's payload may surprise you..." and then they put two small dufflebags in the bed. LOL And the in depth discussion of it's range was pretty revealing too I thought. And "starting price" of $69,000, woof.
Electric vehicles are kind of cool, but why would I pay $20,000 more for one than I would for a generic 1/2 ton gas truck? Paying $20,000 up front kind of negates any fuel savings. $20,000 will buy one heck of a lot of gas. If the price were more in line with generic 1/2 ton trucks it might be more appealing, to me anyway. - Tesla is not a bit worried. The worry should be GM, Ford, RAM.
- Yosemite_Sam1ExplorerThis must be what's nipping on the heels of Tesla that made Elon Musk announce their own Tesla all electric pick up -- topic of similar discussion and vigorous debate in this forum.
My son who works for Tesla speculated with the many ICE pick ups under cover in their lab, that it might be the F150 that will serve as Tesla's platform for their pick up. Not remote with F150 lower weight to give way for it to carry more batteries for longer range and payload.
EV semis from Tesla are already here and in test runs.
