signman,
This is the Coleman Polar Cub 9200 that I purchased, from Adventure RV in Seveirville,TN, in July 2013 and it appears to still be available. I power it with my Honda 2000 genny.
The specs on the site says; "Approximate full load amps - cooling - 11.1 amps". If you are using your Honda 2000 to run the A/C, then obviously the Polar Cub and Honda are still a match.
Wayne
Yes they are Wayne. This combo was operated at 8,200 ft. elev. in the Bighorn Mtns; in Wyoming this summer in July 2013. The new AC was installed two weeks earlier and my 2000 is ten yrs. old and it is far from worn out.
The purchase price, including the ceiling panel/controls and shipping, was $770.00 to my door in Michigan. Camping World was about 50 bucks more and I would have had to drive 170 mile round trip to Belleville,MI to pick it up. Plus I have personal reasons why I don't like to buy from CW.
Now, I will throw this into the equation...I don't run the genny in "eco" mode and I switch off the TC power converter and I start the AC in fan only mode for approx. a minute before switching to cool mode.
Obviously you can't run the microwave or a toaster while running the AC.....I believe that this should be plain old common sense.
Regardless of how some wanna crunch the spec. numbers, I have no reason to fabricate the info that I have just provided.....it just flat works. Others, with this same setup, also know that it works.
I like to read and provide accurate info on this site.
