- Kayteg1Explorer III would try to contact camper manufacturer or find frame drawings on the net.
AC in cab-over not only will be uncomfortable but will bring lot of additional stress to the area that is traditionally weak point of camper frame.
Talking about Fantastic Fan - sell it to me CHEAP.
I hate the rattler in bathroom and would love to put FF as replacement - running it on LOW - sasq40ExplorerI found the ac cord in the middle to the camper by the microwave. Now how do I figured out where the brace is on the roof lol

I thought I saw the cable there when I had to fix the fan switch but I'll double check. I did end up getting a 13500 unit because it's the smallest I could find used. New was over 1500 for just the unit. 500 for a unit well only use for a few weeks in the summer just made more sense
Sounds like a reasonable plan.
With the larger unit, one trick I have found is to crack a roof vent and window to let some of the outside heat in to make the a/c run longer. This does seem to help some unless it is real humid outside. The other thing that would help even more is if you can mod the a/c so the fan turns off when not in the cooling mode. My fan runs constantly so I think it is putting the moisture still on the coils back into the air.
Good luck with the install. - Grit_dogNavigatorCouple things. Are you sure the current f fan location is reinforced for mounting an AC?
Is it wired for AC or just light gauge wire for the fan? - AnEv942Nomad

The current hole for the A/C is framed to support the weight. That's where it should go, not in a new hole.
Take the Fantastic fan out and move it to the bathroom. I moved my high powered fan to the bathroom. Works great there.
I thought that was part of the question- location intended (and reinforced) for AC. Is it known the forward vent hole over bed allows for AC?
Just never seen AC directly over bed in a T/C. Most that have vent over bed, AC hole allowance further back.
As to the Fantastic in bath, while I'd rather have one in bath than the 'whir and buzz' unit, guess I'm odd man out. I wouldn't use bath fan to circulate air in camper. Plus a good deal of the time bath door is closed-especially when cold. - punomaticExplorer

That's what I did when I added AC to my camper. It's much quieter than the typical bathroom fan. One caveat: turn it off when you flush the toilet. It draws a lot of air down the vent, through the black tank and into the bathroom. Otherwise, it worked well for us. Anything that will blow air out of the coach so fresh air can be drawn in will cool things a bit. Enjoy your AC.
So I bought a ac unit for okanagan truck camper. Right now it's got the fantastic fan over the bed were a fantastic fan is installed. Now what I'm wondering is if I should move the fantastic into the bathroom and replace that one or should I cut up a new hole in the main area. Any tips appreciated! - trail-explorerExplorerThe current hole for the A/C is framed to support the weight. That's where it should go, not in a new hole.

- ScottGNomadI installed a second air in our bedroom so the FF went away. Those fans pull so well that just running the one in the bathroom works just as good as the one in the bedrooms ceiling did. I just open the BR window and get a breeze.
I would not make another hole. - BumpyroadExplorerI replaced the little whirr and buzz in my bathroom with a fantastic type fan. just hooked to existing wiring. ONE WARNING, do NOT, I repeat NOT, have the door closed, fan on and flush toilet.
