Anyone use Eternabond instead of Dicor?

I don't quite understand from your post what the previous owner did wrong. Was it just improper cleaning, or was the eternabond installed wrong and if it was installed wrong, how exactly was it wrong?

Do it like the pro's ...always seal Eternabond edges with Dicor or a equivalent sealant. Besides sealing the edges from water intrusion..... it makes for a OEM look instead of big long bandaids laying around the roof like a newby covering up for a bad leak....or a poor job of installation.

I just did the perimeter where the roof meets the fiberglass and around 1 skylight.. I used 4" EternaBond and used 2 50' rolls. Have some left, but not a whole lot. Used 2 cans of acetone from the hardware store for cleaning and 1 can of EternaPrime for the area around the skylight.

For those that have used eternabond for the whole roof, what width of tape did you use and how much of it did you use?

The edges become contaminated with dirt and it doesn't look pretty.

Thanks for all the replies. Will look into purchasing some today.

Used Eternabond after years of sealing and resealing, on an annual basis. Best thing we ever did personally on roof, around all vents, seams, antenna, ladder fix, everywhere there might be the potential for a leak.

Most important thing is to follow the instructions to a T, and prepare properly prior.
