BARNEY - I am seeing the free TORKLIFT boxes showing up alot on the forum now haha...
I see the top slides off from side to side but I don't see how they are locked yet... Really haven't gone to their web site yet. If it uses the standard old MASTER LOCK going thru a couple of holes sure would be easy to cut them off with a dremal tool.
I like the slide off lid idea however - especially for the installs that are right up next to the front sloping walls of some of the travel trailers. Not much room to open up a battery box with a lid.
I am hoping for a battery upgrade this season and will most likely go with the 48-inch side mount locking tool box idea sitting on top of my tongue frames.
I will have plenty of room on my OFF-ROAD POPUP for this between the Propane tanks and the front open deck. I have had my batteries out in the open since 2008 without issues but I hear the wolves creeping around the ranch now so better make some lock-up changes haha...
