It was surprising FAST...
It was this size of master lock
And this type of DREMAL with round cutting wheel.

Back in my NM BLM Forest trail days running signal path checks for radios this was standard procedure for cutting the gate chain loop out and replacing it with your own lock. It seems every gov agency known to man has their own lock on one of these gates... There is usually 10-15 locks on most gate chains to these popular high spots off the trails haha...
