- Boon_DockerExplorer IIIIf you have a single (one) positive cable coming from the batteries to the trailer cut the positive cable and install one of these.

THANKS TO ALL - wrenchbenderExplorerI use a Marinco rotary Switch
- MKirklandExplorerI wasn't confident in my ability to do the wiring. I had a professional do it and I have been very happy with his work. Especially, it is nice to turn off the batteries during anytime we aren't using the trailer. The switch was placed inside in a location that looks perfect for it.

Terminate the disconnect switch onto the (+) phase wire that enters the trailer. Be sure you still have some manner of circuit protection like a fuse or circuit breaker inline.rats1955 wrote:
What amp circuit breaker should you use?
Your trailer should already have a resettable circuit breaker wired in line from the battery's positive terminal ... 30 amp is a typical rating. - rats1955Explorer

your reply was the most helpful:) - Gene_GinnyExplorerThat is the back side of the "Blue Sea m-Series Mini Model #6007" I posted earlier. It is a double pole switch. The 6006 is a single pole switch.
