Battery Disconect Switch

If you have a single (one) positive cable coming from the batteries to the trailer cut the positive cable and install one of these.

I use a Marinco rotary Switch

I wasn't confident in my ability to do the wiring. I had a professional do it and I have been very happy with his work. Especially, it is nice to turn off the batteries during anytime we aren't using the trailer. The switch was placed inside in a location that looks perfect for it.

Your trailer should already have a resettable circuit breaker wired in line from the battery's positive terminal ... 30 amp is a typical rating.

That is the back side of the "Blue Sea m-Series Mini Model #6007" I posted earlier. It is a double pole switch. The 6006 is a single pole switch.
