Me? I would disconnect your hose, toss it in the mud and leave it there.

I think toss it in the mud would be a good solution for a quick connect that I had to remove to hook up my hose.
So let me get this straight ....
I've connected to a community water spigot with my hose so I can fill Aquatainers sitting in the back of my truck OR run the hose back to my trailer sitting on a nearby campsite so I can fill it's fresh water holding tank. Recognizing this is a community spigot for use by all I've connected to with a quick disconnect fitting so should someone come along looking to fill a bucket or pot or whatever I can courteously disconnect to allow them to do so. You come along with a hose for the same purpose I'm using mine for and now you're offended because I got there before you? Seriously? What makes you so special that you'd disconnect my hose and
"toss it in the mud"? :@ Tell you what - try it and let's see where that gets you. :R
The OP said in their original post -
"We are buying everything we need for our new TT and are looking at hoses to bring fresh water into the trailer. We want at least 100' since we will be camping at parks where we will often be attaching the hose to taps further away from our site."Since this OP is obviously a newbie I merely pointed out that although they have every right to access water from a community spigot just as anyone else does they
don't have the right to permanently connect to that water supply. Using a quick disconnect or a Y ensures that others will have ready access to this same supply. It's not rocket science. :R
