brake control 2008 chevy

Question

where do you plug in the brake control on an 2008 chevy, I am used to Ford they have a plug in on the wiring harness. Does chevy have the same? It is not prewired we are going to use it to pull a 18ft flatbed with mowers. Thanks for any info.

My 09 has a break controller already from the factory by my left knee. If you dont then under the drivers panel there is a box near the fire wall. Open it and the connection should be there. Also you may need to install a 30Amp fuse in the fuse box under the hood.

My 08 has a factory built in already.Put your trailer plug in and see if it says trailer connected on your dash.It will be by your left knee.

I think by 08 they were not putting a connector on but the four wires are taped up above your left foot.  If you look in your owners manual it will give you more details.
