I had the same issues as you. I found after checking all connections and trying a different brake controller that my magnets were no good! This was from day one with my current trailer. After i replaced all 4 magnets i could lock the trailer brakes when teating them and when towing normal the truck and trailer would stop almost as fast as the truck itself!!!
Everything else being OK, my bet is on your magnets.
DodgeGuy - makes sense about the magnets! I didn't even think about that. Thanks for that thought. Is there any way to test for those?
