Can I remove slidout moisture barrier to see floor?
Sorry for no pics...I'm at work.
Winterizing my TT this weekend I noticed water on floor under U-dinette bench in slideout. ONe corner only; water came in the lower trim piece on outside of the slide. Pulled trim piece its lacking in basic sealant...but the good news is the wood is not rotted, just wet from recent rains (slide was out).
I cut out carpet under the bench, placed a BOX FAN there for past 2 days. Its dry on top, but I would like to remove the "seal material" on the bottom of the slide (outside) in that area to be sure it is all good / dry.
If I cut that material out (its black poly...plastic type. sorry I am unsure exactly what it is but for sure a moisture barrier of some sort) can it be re-attached? Is it glued to the underfloor?
Appreciate advice given I'm lacking on pics but don't seem to have rot...caught it in time.
