My current '05 Duramax has 173,000 miles on it. Every bit of them towing and/or hauling. What work have I done to the engine? At 140,000 miles 2 injector lines started leaking. The dealer tightened them for less than $100. At 150,000 miles it needed a water pump. That's it.
An '07 Duramax I used to own had zero problems in 36,000 miles before I sold it.
