I agree. And most people look at tow ratings which are often not anything close to RV tow ratings, or exceeding some other rating well under the tow ratings.
See this post about a Ram 3/4 ton diesel with 1500 pounds of payload! The Cummins is a heavier engine than Ford/GM, about 300 pounds. Most Ram 2500 diesel crew cab 4WD trucks I have seen have about 2000 pounds or payload. The Ford and GM were in the 2200-2400 pound range for 3/4 ton diesel crew cab 4WD.
