I guy that just rebuilt my tranny said his buddies in the diesel truck business love the 6.0 Ford. He said they can buy them dirt cheap and they know all the things/tricks to make them work. Because they are doing it for themselves, it does not cost them that much to do it. They see it as a win win.
But for the average user - well they sell them dirt cheap as noted above.
The fact that Ford did not step up is the fishy part, and what turns the average user into dumping them.
Now it appears that they are having a hard time stepping up to some of the CP4.2 failures. How do you keep people happy if you fail to support your product. Coolaid only last so long, then it gets old tasting.
This tranny guy said it took him 2.5 years to find the 7.3 that he wanted and tricked out.
