door lock

Question

So I went to my trailer today and put the front door key in the rear key lock but for the dead bolt. Then what's occurred is I cannot put the right key into the dead bolt key hole but it will fit into and operate the top keyhole? I've tried wd40 and still I cant get the key back into the keyhole. I went inside and unscrewed the whole lock assembly but the deadbolt is engaged? need help! 2004 28ft keystone zeppelin

You're going to need a whole new lock assembly - top, bottom, handle, and all.

Hubby just replaced our lock assembly he got locked out and had to drill lock out to get in. Plus side door has never closed so good!!

You probably have a known defective lock.  There is a recall for the defective locks.  As I recall the problem arises if you remove the key from the lock when it is in the 3 o'clock position.  You must always return the key to the 12 o'clock position.  There is a website where you can apply for a free replacement. Search this forum to find lots of posts on the issue.
