Dually rear tire wear
I have 27,000 miles on Ram dually and the rear tires are worn down to less than half tread left fronts are fine is this normal with dually's. I always keep tire inflated to the reccomended pressure.

I only have 2800 mile on my first dually. Tell me if Im wrong. My thought is 8 wheels and tires. Thinking the fronts are gonna wear on sides fastest. Swap those with 2 extra tires. When they wear to about the same take and move those 4 tires to the rear and 2 rears to the front. other 2 off.

Can a dodge truck get the tires rotated with out taking the tires off to keep the wheel in the same spot. Once the fords could not so it was a high cost to do the job and balance the tires . If this was the way for me I would not rotate either.

We bought new Michelins tires in 2011 . I used a pop cycle stick and a very sharp pencil to make a mark for the tire depth . yesterday I measured the depth using that stick. 5 tires showed the pencil mark was just above the rubber and one tire was the same as new. Hard to believe but true and the same as last summer when I checked. 17000 miles and 2 rotations only because it is free. I will rotate soon. After I rotate and come home I torque the lugs because nobody has done a torque correct ever for me. Michelin tires are the highway tread LTX M/S 2. No cracking but if or when it happens it will be a no more Michelin tire purchase for us.

I blame the posi rear and the diesels torque. When I accerate while turning from a parking lot or stop sign the inside tire always skips.
You must be hammering it! I never have that happen under normal conditions.
It does not have a Posi.
Some people lay the hammer down all the time and that is why they rarely see 40K on a set of tires.
