Dually rear tire wear
I have 27,000 miles on Ram dually and the rear tires are worn down to less than half tread left fronts are fine is this normal with dually's. I always keep tire inflated to the reccomended pressure.

Cummins 12v98 I think you will find your Ram has gear type power transferring limited slip differential. The torque generating from the Cummins I6 is a lot lower rpm than the V8 diesels therefore it will wear rear tires quicker especially if inflated to the max. This of course will be amplified by more aggressive driving styles. Just saying?

I am reading that front tires wearing fine at 27,000 miles.
Rear tires almost worn out.
If so this is strange to me. Just changed tires on my dually and all were worn the same (front and back both).

I blame the posi rear and the diesels torque. When I accerate while turning from a parking lot or stop sign the inside tire always skips.

OEM tires are not the best quality and seem to wear faster than replacements. Also hauling a heavy load increased the rear tire wear. My rears wore faster than the front but I tow a heavy 5er.
That's the exact opposite of my experience.
The OEM tires seem to wear a lot better and a lot longer.
