What is the first year that ECM's were installed? Looking for pre-electronic ignition, etc vehicles

The only thing that I really remember on my 1972 Chrysler was breakerless ignition replacing the points which was really an improvement. The F250 mentioned above may have been exempt from regulations longer than cars so answers could vary. Personally, I have no desire to every have points again.
