I'm still fairly new to RV's and I'm learning to appreciate the upgrades the prior owner invested in when he custom ordered what is now my TT.
Since we do like to cook, the solid-surface counter top is really appreciated.
I also appreciate the compromises some of the designers have to make. If you need to sleep 8+ people in a 28 foot box, the kitchen will likely suffer. Just as an exterior kitchen has to steal space from inside the unit.
In my case, part of why we pulled the trigger on a unit 5-foot longer than our target was because the space better fit our needs. The bathroom is easy to access with the slide in. It has a sofa we share with the dogs when they come along. And 3 months into owning it we still have storage space if needed (but we're trying to careful about the weight too).
