Chris,
If some one had that motor in a 150, seems like power wise, should pull a 5-600 lb trailer readonably well. No, it's not going to keep up with a current day 400-500 HP TD. Should not be going 25 like some BN V8 s of you're from 70s and 80s.

5-600 or 5-6000???? Chris
According to my brother his does very well towing that much weight. And it should. The 2.7 Ecoboost is rated at 325hp and 400lb-ft of torque and a 10 speed. My 1991 F250 with a 460 engine was rated to pull 12,500lbs with 230hp and 390lb-ft of torque and a 4 speed. In its day it was a towing monster with the highest tow rating of any pickup that year from what I could find.
