I just checked the specs. I have a tongue weight limit of 800#. But I honestly don't think I'm near that. The TT is probably just under 6K# loaded, and while I pile as much as I can up front, I think she's got a couple hundred to go.
Any easy way to weigh the configuration without going to a scale? It's parked in the driveway next to the house, nice and level.
And my bottles are stored in a front compartment within the confines of the trailer, so there's room. I did a dry fit and no matter which way I put the unit on the tongue I can make it fit. Can't open the front compartment while it's there, but figure if I pull it down from the mounts when I camp, and lock it to the A frame on the tongue, it should be safe.
Pictures? Absolutely.
since you don't know actual trailer weight or actual tongue weight, I'd first get both measured and see if your OK on tongue weight limits.
FWIW I've helped numerous folks adjust WD hitches and I've yet to find anyone, (myself included) who's "estimated" tongue weight was equal or more than actual tongue weight. I was the closest, estimated 1200lbs, actual 1300/wo water, 1450 with water. I've had others who's "estimate" was low by 25-35%. One estimate of "I'm positive it's less than 600lbs" turned out to be an actual 900lbs. I have a 2,000lb Sherline tongue weight scale that I use to determine trailer actual tongue weights.
