Again sorry man, it just must be all workers you are talking about "did they catch some rogue employee purposely not welding something?". As far as "making stuff up" again I didn't say "did they catch some rogue employee purposely not welding something?" and no you did not say "American workers". Why would you say something like that at all?
Do you have first hand knowledge that the manufacturing industry is full of these so called "rogue employees"? Does it happen, yes on occasion you will have a disgruntled worker but they are in every job no matter the employees status.
So one more time, sorry I read more into your comment!

All welded components MUST have at least one part per shift cut apart, sectioned and the welds examined. Either under a microscope or x-rayed.
All of our welds are checked each shift and it used to be that production was held up until the lab gave the OK to run. Now they drop off the parts and keep running, if a issue is found ALL parts are quarantined and a QC Engineer makes the determination as to if the parts can be reworked or scarped. At one time we had over 50 workers in the lab, now we have less then 20.
Sad that you feel this way about American workers. I do love this part, "Did they get a bad batch of welding "glue?"", obviously you know nothing about welding and or manufacturing. Maybe you should keep to been making "mike shakes and hamburgers" or whatever it is you do.

And you are correct - I know nothing about welding or manufacturing. I was pretty much conceding that with my obviously ridiculous "welding glue" comment.
Everyone's panties are 99% bunched before they even open a thread here. It's no wonder this forum is just a big fighting pit.

Whoa !! Hold up there Don, how soon we forget about the Ram R46 recall. I am sure you know about that one.
You brought up the weld test procedure, how in the world did, how many thousands of 2013-14 Ram trucks slipped by on POOR weld quality. :h Mine is still needing to get the support brace for the said recall. Somebody dropped the ball pretty bad at FCA on this one .bfast54 wrote:

- Just another reason to not buy a GM product in my book. Been burned way too many times, not to the point of statistical significance by generally accepted standards, but by my standards.
