Can you do the disconnect of the side that is arching and run the other side up and down to test that that side is ok?
The switch that you are activating is it part of a wired remote or part of the jack.
I am not familiar with the Atwoods...
I went to Atwood website and loaded the motor assembly/jack head and noticed that there are wire connectors... Makes me wonder if one of the wires has chaffed inside and is shorting there in inside of the housing "C"..... Just a thought!
The reason Atwoods normally do not leak water into the motor is because the motor is in the housing "B"... Happijacks motors are out there in the weather... Ugggg.
So remove the pieces to get at those wire connectors inside of "C" first and see what is going on!
